Dr. Christopher Meltsakos is a board certified subspecialty trained orthopedic surgeon in sports medicine. He specializes in taking care of and managing athletic injuries of the upper and lower extremity both operatively and non-operatively. He performs a wide range of orthopedic procedures including routine arthroscopic procedures such as ACL reconstructions, meniscal surgery, rotator cuff repairs, and labral repairs, as well as knee replacements, cartilage surgery, fracture care, and many other types of orthopedic surgery.

 

Dr. Meltsakos completed his orthopaedic residency at Westchester Medical Center in New York before completing subspecialty training in Sports Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio where he trained under the direction of renowned surgeons caring for numerous high school, NCAA, AHL (San Antonio Rampage), NBA(San Antonio Spurs), and community athletes.

 

When not caring for patients, Dr. Meltsakos enjoys working out, outdoor sports, and most importantly, spending time with his wife and sons.
